Alumni Veteran Association

The newly established UDHS Alumni Veteran Association is excited to inform you about the association's mission and goals and invite you to become a member of this unique group that will serve to support and honor, as well as bring together, some of Upper Darby High School's finest alumni.  Below is a brief outline of UDHSAVA's three primary goals:

  • Support - One of the UDHSAVA's main goals is to serve and support any and all UDHS alumni veterans in various ways.  In particular, the association will provide support for veterans who intend on enrolling in college or graduate school.  Moreover, the association will assist veterans in making a career change or who are searching for work.  Finally, the association, in collaboration with other established veteran organizations, will advocate for veterans to receive various benefits and services to which they are entitled.
  • Honor - Another significant goal of the UDHSAVA is to better honor UDHS veterans and raise awareness of their past and continued service to their country.  With annual events to celebrate UDHS alumni veterans, the UDHSAVA intends to enhance the Upper Darby and greater Delaware County community's recognition of our veterans' proud, selfless service.  Moreover, the UDHSAVA eventually plans on developing new memorials to acknowledge UDHS graduates long and varied tradition of serving America, especially during times of war.
  • Network - Finally, the UDHSAVA, with various annual events, will provide opportunities for UDHS alumni veterans to better engage and interact with one another in numerous ways.  With opportunities to collaborate and share different experiences and knowledge with other vets, the UDHSAVA hopes to create a strong, supportive community committed to fostering unique bonds and increasing the overall recognition of Upper Darby's proud military veterans.
