Room 130.

Science (7thGr)

In these last 14 weeks of the school year, students will be introduced to fundamental concepts of Genetics by the end of March, then we should complete the year with topics in Ecosystems. For each class, students need to have their own working pencils, and a 2-pocket folder for keeping/sorting their assignments.

Math Intervention.

Math intervention is for students who were assessed at being below grade level in math. Over the last few weeks, in-class worksheets will be used more extensively than the online application, as we approached the PSSAs and MAPs. In these last three weeks of the marking period, students (with grades below 60%) are being encouraged to improve their scores by completing as much lessons as is necessary with the Dreambox application from home.

This is my 13th year at BHMS, having taught 7th Gr science (7 years), 8th Gr science (4 years), and math intervention (2nd year).

I have four grown children, all with science/math-based professions: an actuary, an air traffic controller, and two pharmacists. Professionally, science and math have allowed them greater levels of mobility and independence.
