Below you will find the Course Outline that explains the expectations/requirements for the year and also includes the materials your child will need to be successful in ELA this year.
Please, review this document with your child and return the last page by September 7th, 2018. This will be their first homework assignment.
SUMMER READING info below:
Follow the link below for the summer reading instructions. This is due September 13, 2019.
Students must read one fiction and one nonfiction book. Then they must complete the worksheet at the bottom of the document for each book!
--There will be early dismissals on November 19 and 20 at 11:40am for teacher/parent conferences. If you have not signed up, please check your child's teachers webpages or contact them through email. On Wednesday November 21st, 2018 the students will be dismissed at 11:20am for the Thanksgiving holiday! Enjoy time with your family :D
--Report cards for Marking Period 1 will be given out before the early dismissal on November 15th.
--On Thursday November 15th, 2018 there will be a 1:00pm dismissal for all students.
-- There will be no school for students and staff on Monday, October 8th, 2018. Happy Columbus Day! Enjoy your day off :D
-- Our first Parent Night of the year is Wednesday, October 3rd. Doors open at 5:30 PM. We will be serving a light dinner. We will be sharing our PBIS theme for the year, honoring our GRIT award winners, providing individual student MAP test scores, HAC assistance, Reading Strategies and Mindfulness. It will be an exciting and informative evening.
-- Be sure to come to Back to School night on Thursday September, 13, 2018 at 6pm. I will briefly review the year and answer any questions you may have! I can't wait to meet you!
