Hi! My name is Lindsay Baker and I am very excited to be a part of the 4th grade team! I graduated from Haverford High School, where I played field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse. I attended Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk where I continued my field hockey career. I graduated from Virginia Wesleyan with a degree in teaching. I came home and started my career at Highland Park Elementary School. This is my 4th year at Highland Park and my first as a classroom teacher. I spent the last three years as an interventionist working with grades 1 - 5. During my free time, I enjoy being a volunteer firefighter at Llanerch Fire Company, where I am a Nationally Certified firefighter and EMT. I also enjoy spending time in Sea Isle City.

We are going to explore many exciting new topics throughout fourth grade. In ELA, we will focus on different reading strategies to enhance our comprehension and fluency skills. We will learn new spelling patterns, vocabulary words, and exciting new skills with each new module we explore. In Science, we will be diving into exciting topics such as rocks and minerals, land and water, the solar system, and electricity! We have so many awesome experiments to conduct this year! As the year progresses we will be learning all about the United States and Pennsylvania history in our Social Studies class.
