Marc A. Comfort

Mr. Marc Comfort is a graduate of the Class of 2000 from A.J. Dimond High School in Anchorage, Alaska. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Specialty Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Duquesne University in 2004, he has spent the last 18 years serving within the Upper Darby School District in several different roles.
During the winter of the 2004-2005 school year, Mr. Comfort started teaching Mathematics at Upper Darby High School as a long-term substitute. Mr. Comfort then taught in the mathematics department for seven more years. During this time, Mr. Comfort also took on the role of state and school testing coordinator. Mr. Comfort then became a Response to Instruction and Intervention for Mathematics at Upper Darby High School. While teaching, Mr. Comfort earned his Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Cabrini College.
Mr. Comfort then became the Assistant Principal for Operations at Upper Darby High School during the 2013 - 2014 school year. Mr. Comfort served in this role for three years before moving to Westbrook Park Elementary School to serve as Principal. Mr. Comfort has served as Principal at Westbrook Park Elementary School for the past eight years.
Mr. Comfort loves working at Westbrook Park Elementary School and working with the students, staff, and parents. Mr. Comfort is supported by his wife, Sandy (who is a High School Science Teacher), and his two children, Grace and Colin.
