Message from the Principal
Dear Senkow Families,
It is with great excitement and pleasure that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Walter M. Senkow Elementary School. I am honored to return to Senkow as the school’s leader and I will continue to provide students with engaging and rigorous educational experiences. I started my journey as an educator at Senkow, while completing my student teaching coursework. I have been with the Upper Darby School District since 2014, and continued my professional career at Senkow as a third-grade teacher. My recent leadership experience was obtained within the school district at Stonehurst Hills Elementary School. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. I have my elementary education, English as a second language, school principal and curriculum supervisor certifications.
My goal is to provide students with a positive and nurturing school environment that allows students to grow as individuals. As a school leader I want to develop an environment that allows students to feel accepted and appreciated, while ensuring instruction is developed to accommodate students’ needs. I will continue to review and develop experiences that continue to raise the bar for students and engages students by linking what they're learning in school to knowledge and experiences that matter most to them.
Not only am I elated to begin working with students and staff members, but I look forward to the work we will do together.I am committed to contributing my skills as an instructional leader at Senkow, and to working with you as a partner in education to ensure student success.
