Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Nicole Lewis
My name is Nicole Lewis and I am your child’s fourth grade teacher for this year. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I strongly believe that it is essential for parents to know as much about their child’s teacher as possible!
I attended St. Joseph’s University and graduated in 2006, with a major in elementary education. In 2012, I went back to school to obtain a masters degree in elementary education. Becoming a teacher was a career change for me. My first year after graduating, I was program coordinator for a preschool, after school and summer school program. The next year, I taught 5th & 6th grade language arts and science in Philadelphia School District.
Then I came to Bywood as a 1st grade teacher, but just for one year; for the next five years I taught 2nd grade, and am now beginning my 4th year as a 4th grade. I currently live in Drexel Hill with my husband and 2 of my 3 “adult” children.
This will be my tenth year teaching at Bywood! I love teaching and could not imagine myself not working with children! I cannot wait to start another exciting and successful year with your precious children! If you have any questions or ever need to contact me, please do not hesitate to call me at (610) 352-6842 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will get back to you within 24 hours. You will also soon find classroom information on our class website, which I will share with you as soon as it is up and running. I look forward to meeting you next week at Back to School night. Thank you for all that you do for your child! I know that we will have an outstanding year together!
