Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Harry F. Crossgrove
Welcome to Technology Education at Drexel Hill Middle School. My name is Mr. Crossgrove and have been teaching at DHMS my entire teaching career beginning in the 2000 / 2001 school year. The story of my education began at J.R. Lowell Elementary School in the Olney section of Philadelphia where i lived through 5th Grade and continued in the Perkiomen Valley School District in Graterford PA through the remainder of Middle School and High School years. After Graduation I attended Millersville University in the field of Technology Edcuation, graduating in December of 1999. Upon Graduation I applied to both Drexel Hill and Beverly Hills, among others, and took the position here at DH. Through my years at DH I have had the oppertunity to work with thousands of student many of which i have watched to grow into successful young adults who come back to visit regularly. The biggest Joy that I have in teaching is when a student comes back and takes the time to see me and let me know that something in my class has effected their lives. It is my goal to give each student knowledge and passion for using Technology safely in such a Technology based world.
Outside of DH I am very heavily involved in my Church and Community. I am currently the Judge of Elections for Skippack Township ward 1 and heavily involved with the township and many of their activities. In church I have been teaching Sunday School for the past 15 years, led and joined many church committees, sing in the Choir, and currently hold the position as the church Social Committee Cook. During the Summers i have spent 12 years as a Summer Camp Counselor and Nature Specialist at Hideaway Day Camp in Collegeville PA. The rest of my free time I love watching and sending time with my Neice and Nephew who love to come to my classroom during the summer to help me get ready for school.
It is my hope that this year will be a exciting and enjoyable time for your students to learn new ways to access Technology in a safe and possitive way. If you have any questions or concerns at all please feel free to give me a call at the school. the best way to get ahold of me is through my school email firstname.lastname@example.org
