Mrs. King

My name is Mrs. King and I am thrilled to be teaching ELL at Aronimink School for the past 10 years!

My students are aways surprised to learn that I attended Kindergarten at Aronimink when I was a child. Years later, before I became a teacher, my own four children attended Aronimink, and it was the wonderful teachers they had here that inspired me to change careers and become a teacher.

I also taught third grade at Bywood School for six years and ELL at Highland Park School for one year before coming to Aronimink.

If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child and ELL class, please feel free to call or email me at school.

THANK YOU to all who came to Family Heritage Night last week, and especially those who brought food, crafts, photographs, posters or other items to represent your family's traditions!

A special thank you to Daniel's mother, Menggui Huang, for teaching Chinese calligraphy to the students and families.

This week, students in second through fifth grades will work on Lesson 24 in their Storytown Language Arts series. First graders will work on Lesson 22.

Report card conferences are coming up - on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 26 and the evening of Wednesday, March 27. If you have not yet signed up for a conference time with your child’s homeroom teacher, please do that as soon as possible. I will try to attend as many conferences for my ELL students as I can. Also, if you would like me to try to arrange for an interpreter to attend the conference, please email me at sking@upperdarbysd.org. Thank you.
