UDHS Students Excel in National Youth Cyber Defense Competition
Upper Darby High School students excel in the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition!
The team of Chris Dwyer, Sarah DeMott, Hasan Hoque, Jessica Gian, Catherine Vivo, and Matthew Selwood (not pictured) and the team of Maroof Chowdhury, Mark Blair, Kaleb Sherrill, Gurpinder Judge, and Hammed Sylla placed 2nd and 3rd in the state respectively in their assigned tier.
This extremely challenging competition tasks teams to take the role of IT professionals managing the network of a small company. Within a six hour window, the students must find and fix all cybersecurity vulnerabilities while maintaining critical services in three virtual machines running varying versions of Windows, Ubuntu and Debian.
