Charles Laut


Graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of 1987, Mr. Laut began his technology career working for a small upstart computer company in Ardmore, Pa. Employed first as a Configuration Tech, then Field Tech and finally a 3rd Level Support Coordinator allowing him to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience that would see him through the next 16 years supporting small business and enterprise level architecture.

 In 2008 Mr. Laut was hired as a Computer Technician for the Upper Darby School District supporting both end user and network infrastructure. Promoted to Network Technician in 2012, along with his existing duties, his other responsibilities included identifying current trends for teacher and student technologies and to effectively implement them to assist in academic learning. As a Computer Coordinator in 2016 he oversaw the installation of the District’s new wireless network and the first deployment of our student Chromebook devices. Mr. Laut was then given the opportunity to be part of Upper Darby’s Administration team, with the position of Supervisor of Technology, where he heads up the one-to-one Device Deployment Initiative helping to ensure that our students have a positive experience in both the virtual and classroom environments.

Mr. Laut attended Pennsylvania Institute of Technology where he took courses in Computer Engineering, is a CBE(Certified Banyan Engineer/UNIX NOS), an ACMT(Apple Certified Macintosh Technician) and is also CompTIA A+ Certified
