Christopher Lashley
Christopher Lashley is a 2011 graduate of Lincoln University, which is the 1st historically black college in the United States. He studied opera performance, as well as musical theater during his collegiate career. After graduating, Christopher spent 10 years in the field of Music Education through the Philadelphia School District. During his tenure as an educator, he was nominated twice for Grammy Music Educator of the Year, 2-time Teacher of the Year, NPHC Man of the Year for service to the Arts, Lang Lang Keys of Inspiration grant recipient, and a host of other accolades. Christopher's most precious accomplishment was being a member of the world-renowned “Harlem Boys Choir”, where he studied under the world-famous Dr. Walter Turnbull. Christopher wanted to make a greater impact on the Arts, so he returned to the collegiate classroom to attain the knowledge and necessary skills to educate, inspire, and impact the arts community administratively. He is excited to join the Upper Darby School District family, and looks forward to the journey!
