Reading Interventions are 100% class work based. Students are expected to come to class on time, ready to learn and read. They should bring a writing utensil to class every day.
Students are tested weekly on fluency, and bi-weekly on comprehension.
All of their work stays in class; this ensures all the students always have their class work readily available. I have provided folders for them to help keep them organized in class. There is NO homework assigned to my reading intervention classes, although I always encourage ALL my students to read at home.
As per school policy, students may not go to the restroom during the first ten minutes of class, during direct instruction, or during the last ten minutes of class. In reading intervention, they may not go during independent reading.
