Hello, my name is Laura Dolan and I’m a proud Member of The Charles Kelly Community. I have been the School Social Worker at Charles Kelly for five years and I have been with Upper Darby School District for twelve years. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Social Administration from Temple University, my Master's Degree in Social Work from Widener University, and my Home and School visitors’ Certification from Bryn Mawr College.

As the School Social Worker, I meet with students to offer social support and work with families, providing resources and enhancing relationships with their children and with the school. I work with the school staff, including teachers, administrators, the psychologist, and the nurse to provide consultation, information and connection to outside resources.

Much of my work with your children includes individual and group support, provide classroom education on many topics, assist students to improve self-esteem, social skills, anger management, and self-control. I advocate for my students while teaching them to advocate for themselves, provide needed services for crisis intervention, services to homeless students and families, and work as the liaison between school/family/community.
