The Westbrook Park Library program supports Upper Darby School District's reading program by combining the key skills and strategies taught in the classroom with the themes from the Social Studies program. It also teaches students how to be information literate, socially responsible, independent learners through its core library program. This approach helps children to apply the skills they are learning outside of their classrooms and to make the connections necessary to reinforce and retain what they have learned. The Westbrook Park Library participates in the Library Legacy Program. Through the years Westbrook Park parents have dedicated books to their children thereby helping to establish a library filled with beautiful books.
