Everyday at Stonehurst Hills Elementary School we begin our day as a community of learners with the Pledge of Allegiance and the School Standards of Behavior.~ This is a reminder for all of our teachers, staff and students to work together, in a safe, nurturing learning environment that is supported through our PBIS system. Stonehurst Hills students have opportunities everyday to earn Standout Stallions for following the 3 Bs: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful in all areas throughout the building and on school grounds.~ These wonderful role models are entitled to two different opportunities when they receive Standout Stallions: 1. They drop off ½ of their Standout Stallion to the office and have a chance to be recognized on our school TV news and frequent calls home to randomly selected students. They save the second ½ to purchase items at our PBIS school store. In addition to Standout Stallions, our PBIS school store, we also recognize individual students for excellence by awarding the coveted Principals'
200 Club Golden Tickets.~ These students have gone above and beyond all expectations and have consistently proven that they know and exhibit our school rules and expectations.~ A “surprise” experience with Mrs. Beauford and the select students will be announced when the winners are determined so stay tuned!
Equally important Stonehurst Hills was recognized for its excellence in implementing PBIS last year. The next time you come to school keep your eyes peeled for the Principals' 200 Club bulletin board in our main lobby, in each grade level there are super-sized Silver Spoons, Silver Sneakers, and Silver Basketballs that recognize a classroom's fantastic job in our cafeteria, during recess and during transitions throughout the building.~~ This year we aim to earn our another banner for continued excellence in May 2019!
Remember to come out and support our students and staff at the monthly Student Recognition Ceremony on the final Wednesday of each month.~ We appreciate all you do for our students and we would love to have you join us in this celebration, the students are always so proud of themselves.
Thank you for your support!
