Brian Walden is the Assistant Principal at Aronimink Elementary School. With over 13 years of experience in education, Mr. Walden brings expertise in both teaching and leadership, focusing on helping students reach their fullest potential, both academically and personally. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theater from Kutztown University, which has influenced his creative approach to education. He later earned a Master's in Education from Cabrini College, and holds a Principal Certification from West Chester University, further honing his skills as an educational leader.
Before his current role at Aronimink Elementary School, Mr. Walden spent seven years at Chester Charter School for the Arts, where he taught Kindergarten and 4th grade. His teaching experience also includes six years at Stonehurst Hills Elementary and Hillcrest Elementary Schools, where he taught 5th grade. These roles allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students at various stages of their educational journey.Mr. Walden's professional mission centers on motivating students to exceed their expectations and explore their personal limits. He firmly believes that each child is a unique individual who thrives in a secure, caring, and stimulating environment. He is committed to fostering an atmosphere that supports emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growth—one where students feel safe, encouraged to take risks, and empowered to share ideas.
In addition to his professional role, Mr. Walden is deeply involved in the local arts community through Upper Darby Summer Stage and the Players Club of Swarthmore, where his passion for theater continues to flourish. He enjoys traveling, spending summers at the beach, swimming, and staying active through exercise. These personal interests help him maintain a well-rounded perspective that he brings to his work as an educator. Mr. Walden resides in Drexel Hill, PA, with his husband, Ryan, and their daughter, Harper. Together, they enjoy exploring new places and making lasting memories.
