Aronimink Elementary School strives to create a safe, orderly, and stimulating learning community for all of our students. In an effort to continue to improve our school climate, the faculty at Aronimink, have worked together to form a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) Program. The focus of this plan is to create a positive school community that fosters being safe, respectful, and responsible.
During the 21 Day Planner the students learned about PBIS. The plan has been created and will be implemented to promote the Amazing Aronimink Actions: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible for all students and the entire Aronimink Community.
In addition to our kick-off assembly, we will display posters around the building and in the classroom. All of the staff at Aronimink will be teaching students the positive behaviors that they are expected to demonstrate at school. We will acknowledge and reward classes who consistently demonstrate positive behaviors with classroom certifications and individual students with Bucky Bucks.
Please take some time to review with your child the positive behavior expectations described on the Behavior Matrix found on our Aronimink website (Hard copies available upon request), as well as the Aronimink PBIS Flowchart and Pyramid. Ask our child to make sure he/she understands the expectations in different locations around school and on the bus. Please discuss the importance of these concepts and encourage your child to be a safe, respectful, and responsible Aronimink Scholar.
With our continued support and involvement, there is no question that Aronimink Elementary will continue to be a place where students can excel in a safe and stimulating environment. Research shows that when home and school work together, student achievement is guaranteed. We look forward to working with you as true partners in your child’s education.
