Message from Principal Rehak

  • Dear Aronimink Families,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer filled with fun and exciting memories with your loved ones. I also hope that you and your children are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year! We are so very excited to get this new school year kickstarted! We cannot wait for your child’s arrival on the first day of school, Monday, August 26th. It continues to be an exciting time to be an Aronimink Royal! Last year, we saw our school community double in size! This year, we are excited to welcome kindergarten students to their new Aronimink home! Our property has continued to evolve and we look forward to enjoying the many new 21st century learning spaces from the start! I look forward to maintaining positive relationships with our returning Aronimink families and building new relationships with the many new members of our school community.

At Aronimink, we pride ourselves on our strong school community and this tradition will start even earlier as we welcome kindergarten. I can not stress enough the importance of becoming involved and getting to know each other so that we can maintain family engagement and our strong Aronimink traditions. Our continued partnership will ensure a productive and fun educational experience for our children. As our returning families already know, Aronimink is truly a special place filled with dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring staff and engaged families. Please stop by on Thursday, August 22nd from 3:30 – 4:15 PM for our annual “Meet and Greet” outside on the Aronimink field. This will provide your child with an opportunity to meet their new teacher, visit previous teachers, and see some old friends. Meet and Greet festivities will take place on the Aronimink field on the playground side of the building. All current students in attendance will receive a complimentary ticket for a cold treat from the Mister Softee Truck sponsored by our Aronimink Home and School Association. Please see the attached flyer for details. We look forward to seeing you then!

Message from Assistant Principal Walden

  • Dear Aronimink Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,

It is with great excitement that I am writing this message to you. I am grateful to have been chosen as your next Assistant Principal, and I look forward to working with Mr. Rehak and all of you to continue nurturing the positive and productive learning community here at Aronimink. I was born and raised in Drexel Hill and currently live with my husband and daughter.

I graduated from Upper Darby High School in 2001, and I received a Bachelor’s degree in Theater from Kutztown University. In 2012, I obtained my Masters in Education and taught seven years at the Chester Charter School for the Arts teaching Kindergarten and fourth grade. I joined the Upper Darby School District in 2019 and I have taught 5th grade at both Stonehurst Hills Elementary and Hillcrest Elementary. My 13 years in education have prepared me for this next stage of my career.

I am a Royal through and through, and I am honored to help lead this school. I firmly believe that communication is the key to our success, and I encourage you all to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I am here to support Mr. Rehak, our students, staff, and families in every way possible. I look forward to meeting you, working alongside you, and celebrating the many achievements the rest of the school year will bring!

    Warm Regards,

    Mr. Brian Walden
    Assistant Principal
