    Gretchen Cammiso has been in the Upper Darby School District for three years, having previously served as the Athletic Director at Upper Darby High School. Before joining Upper Darby School District, Ms. Cammiso served as a High School Health and Physical Education teacher and Softball and Track Coach at Truman High School for ten years before transitioning to become their Athletic Director for five years. 

     

    As an educator, Ms. Cammiso believes in instilling accountability and intrinsic motivation in students by helping them overcome obstacles by believing in their ability to change any situation they are in for the better. Using Restorative Practices and a “tough love” approach, Ms. Cammiso sees all the students as her kids and truly wants them to become the best versions of themselves in whatever path their lives may take.

     

    Ms. Cammiso is excited about her second year at Drexel Hill Middle School, following her students through their 7th-grade year and watching them continue to grow and mature.

     

    In her free time, Ms. Cammiso enjoys the beach, working out, and spending time with her fiancé, her son, and her family and friends.
