8th Grade Information

The 8th Grade Dinner Dance will be held this Friday night! Please note that all students that are attending the dance MUST be in school on Friday up until 12:00 PM. If you are giving your student an early dismissal, you must come in person to sign them out! The dance begins at 7:00 PM. Attendees must be in the dance by 7:45 PM, or they will not be permitted into the dance.


*Please note that due to renovations starting in the auditorium, 8th grade promotion will be held in the Gym. All information in the link below is still applicable, however, the location of the ceremony has been adjusted. Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What should my student wear to promotion? Students typically dress "up" for the occasion. There is no required dress code, but please be mindful that any apparel must comply with our school dress code.

2. Where do I park if I am attending the promotion ceremony? Parking will be tight, as it is a regular school day with our full staff. Anyone that can walk to DHMS is encouraged to do so. Please also consider carpooling!

3. Can my younger child that attends DHMS attend the ceremony? Yes, siblings from DHMS may attend the ceremony.

4. Are there handicapped accessible entrances? If any guests are in need of handicapped entrances, please park behind the school by the modular classrooms and enter through the back of the school.

5. Do I need a ticket to enter the ceremony? Yes, all guests must present a ticket at the door.
