Lonnie Diggs is serving as Assistant Principal for the Class of 2025 at Upper Darby High School. Prior to his tenure in Upper Darby School District, he spent the previous 20 years at Math, Civics & Sciences Charter School in Philadelphia, serving in such roles as Dean of Students, Athletic Director, and Boys’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach, before moving into the Assistant Principal role in 2022. Mr. Diggs began his career in public education, spending time as a Math Teacher and in great assignments at both Wakisha Charter School and Chester High School.

Mr. Diggs earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Cheyney University, a Master of Science degree from Saint Joseph’s University, and completed his Principal Certification program at Eastern University. He enjoys and continues to coach high school basketball. Mr. Diggs believes that all students have great potential and as educators it is our responsibility to help them achieve it.
