Coronavirus/COVID-19 Emergency School Closing Updates
Last Updated: May 19, 2020
Pandemic EBT money is available to families whose children receive SNAP or TANF benefits. This benefit is also available to all of our families as a result of the District's approved application for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for this school year. The CEP allows schools in our District to offer breakfast and lunch at no charge to families while eliminating the traditional school meal application process. Families will receive an Electronic Benefit Transfer card (EBT), which is like a debit card, and can be used to buy food. For additional information on how the Pandemic EBT works, click HERE.

We will be continuing in the implementation of the mandatory phase of our Emergency School Closing Educational Opportunities Plan. We thank students, parents and teachers for your efforts to comply with the educational plan through our learning management platform, Schoology. Please be reminded, as per our previous communciations, that our goal is to be as flexible as possible as we transition all of our students to virtual learning during the state-mandated school closures. It is our expectation that students put forth their best effort to remain engaged and focused on completing assignments and ask their teachers for assistance as needed. We've set up an email to support families with log-in and implementation of Schoology. You can reach out to our Schoology Support Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are here to help and happy to help.
We will continue to provide breakfast and lunch to students Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at any of the nine (9) locations listed in the UDSD Food Preparation and Delivery Response Plan.
We urge you to continue to be vigilant and monitor your children for signs of illness and to recognize signs of illness in yourself. Please contact your medical health care provider with any symptoms.
We thank you for your patience as we work through this fluid situation. We are all in this together and are working together in this time of crisis. Feel free to reach out to us with any other needs you and your family might have.
