About the Coaches
This is Joe Niagara’s fourth year as head coach of the Upper Darby boys’ lacrosse team, and he is entering his sixth year as an English teacher at Upper Darby High School. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 2008 and played lacrosse and football for the Royals. He attended Swarthmore College and attained a B.A. in English Education. He also played close defense for the Garnet between 2008-2012. He recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a M.Ed. in School Leadership. He is proud to serve as the head coach of the Upper Darby boys' lacrosse, a program that provided him great opportunities as a player, coach, and educator. He is hopeful for the future of the program and looks forward to the upcoming season.

This is Dave Cutler’s second year as assistant coach of the Upper Darby boys’ lacrosse team and his third year as a Business teacher at Upper Darby High School. He graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2009 and played lacrosse and football for the Falcons. Coach Cutler attended Chestnut Hill College and attained a B.A. in History with a minor in Secondary Education. He served as keeper for the Griffins between 2009-2013. Coach Cutler has redesigned the Royals’ weight lifting program, and his intensity and expertise have been a boon to the boys’ lacrosse program.
