2018-19 Wrestling Season
The first day of practice will be held on Friday, November 16th in the wrestling room at UDHS. You must have your FamilyID account up to date, indicate your interest to participate in wrestling, and upload a picture of the PIAA Section 6 Physical Form in your FamilyID account in order to be elligible to practice. Mr. Robert Martin - Head Coach
Head Coach Bob Martin is entering his 37th year as Head Coach of the Upper Darby High School wrestling team. Coach Martin has amassed a team record of 416-174-7 and is the longest-tenured head coach in Upper Darby Wrestling History. Coach Martin's teams have won 12 Central League titles, the first coming in 1994. In addition, his teams have won 15 Sectional/League tournament titles, and 2 District One South tournament titles in 1999 and 2000. In 2001, Coach Martin guided Joel Edwards to a state championship and did the same for Brian Kennerly in 2017. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Delaware Couty Chapter in June of 2016 and the District One Hall of Fame in March of 2018.

Mr. Luke Bilyeu
Coach Luke Bilyeu is entering his third year coaching wrestling at Upper Darby High School. Coach Bilyeu wrestled for Haverford High School and amassed a 112-31 record. He was a three-time Sectional Champion and a 2010 PIAA state qualifier. Coach Bilyeu continued his wrestling career at West Chester University where he went 82-16, was a three-time NWCA All-American, and a 2014 NWCA National Runner-Up.

Mr. Colley
Coach Ryan Colley is entering his third year coaching wrestling at Upper Darby High School. Coach Colley is a Social Studies teacher at UDHS and has been teaching in the Upper Darby School District for the past six years. He wrestled for Downingtown West High School his junior and senior year and was chosen to be a team captain as a senior. Along with wrestling, Coach Colley was a three-year starter and team captain of the boy's lacrosse team at Downingtown West High School. He played a year of Division I lacrosse at Robert Morris University before transferring to West Chester University. Coach Colley was instrumental in the creation of the West Chester University club wrestling team during his senior year.

Mr. Dennis Mejias
Coach Dennis Mejias is entering his 13th year as an assistant coach at Upper Darby High School. He has achieved some of the most sought-after goals for which a wrestler strives. In 1983, Coach Mejias was a state champion for Mepham High School in the state of New York and earned All-American status. In 1984 he was a New York Freestyle State Champion. Coach Mejias received a full scholarship from Wilkes University to wrestle at the Division I level. In college, Coach Mejias was a 3-time NCAA qualifier and 4-time place winner at the Eastern National Qualifier. In 1987, he was named an NCAA All-American after taking 8th place at the NCAA tournament. Coach Mejias was honored to be included in the Wilkes University Hall of Fame in 2003.
