Dr. Kenneth Algazy
Class of 1961

Upon graduation from Upper Darby High School in 1961, Kenneth M. Algazy attended Villanova University and Temple University Medical School. He completed his medical training at Abington Memorial Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester in New York. Following his medical internship and residency, he was a fellow in Hematology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Algazy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology.
Dr. Algazy then joined the Temple University Medical School faculty. Following this appointment he entered private practice as a hematologist/oncologist for 22 years. In 1998 he joined the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Currently, he is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Chief of Hematology and Oncology at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. He has been selected as a “TopDoc” by Philadelphia Magazine.
