 Dr. Kermit Gordon was an economist, a Rhodes Scholar, and a Professor of Political Economy at Williams College. He was a member of the President's Council on Economic Advisors, a Director of Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C., and a member of the President's Commission on Arms Control and Disarmament. He died in 1976.
