Jennifer Slaw

Jennifer Slaw attended Hillcrest Elementary and Drexel Hill Middle School, where she learned to juggle from Seminar teacher Jackie Erickson. At UDHS Jen was in the Honor Society, a member of the Hi-Q team, won the Mendenhall Tyson Scholarship and was valedictorian of her class. She studied ballet 12 years with the Radomile Academy of Dance. Jen earned a BA in Art and a BS in Engineering from Swarthmore College. She then moved to NYC to work for the Chief of Design for the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation, followed by several years as a structural design engineer before fully transitioning to life as a professional juggler. As an entertainer, educator, and speaker, Jen has juggled on David Letterman, was a featured TEDx speaker, won the International Jugglers’ Association’s (IJA) Award for creativity, and has been called an “expert juggler” by the New York Times. Since her first paying juggling job in middle school, she performed for clients ranging from American Express to Cirque du Soleil. She’s juggled with actor Patrick Dempsey on Good Morning America and Captain “Sully” Sullenberger at the Miracle on the Hudson reunion. She’s performed with the Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center and is a regular performer in Monday Night Magic. Jen is co-creator and co-star of the Off Broadway Critic’s Pick, Perfect Catch: A Throwmantic Comedy which has run since 2011. Jen is a certified representative of the IJA’s Youth Education Program, has taught juggling with the Big Apple Circus, National Circus Project, and is Director of Juggling Life, Inc., a non profit with a mission to engage, inspire, and emotionally heal ill and underprivileged children through interactive juggling. In 2013 she launched Team Huggle to spread joy by combining hugging and juggling, in which she owns 3 World Records.
