  • The Technology Department in the Upper Darby School District plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the school district and enhancing the educational experience for both students and educators. The Department provides a wide range of services to support the educational, administrative, and operational needs of the district. Key services typically include:

     

    1. Hardware and Software Support: Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, devices (such as tablets and smartboards), printers, and other technology tools used by students, teachers, and staff. This also involves software installation, updates, and licenses.

    2. Network and Infrastructure Management: Ensuring the district's network (Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and internal systems) operates smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This includes managing servers, data storage, cybersecurity, and backup systems.

    3. Helpdesk Services: Providing technical support for users, including resolving issues related to devices, software, accounts, and network access.

    4. Educational Technology Integration: Assisting teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum. This includes training on using educational apps, digital learning platforms, and tools to enhance teaching and learning.
