    Russell Benditt has been the Athletic Director in the Upper Darby School District for the past two years. He earned an undergraduate degree from Albright College in Reading Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Cabrini University. He began his educational career teaching in the School District of Philadelphia and served as a classroom teacher for 12 years before becoming the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at Philadelphia Military Academy for 5 years. He then transitioned to Assistant Principal and various roles at Upper Darby High School about 6 years.



    Mr. Benditt's commitment as Athletic Director is to strive for the Upper Darby School District's athletics program to promote interscholastic athletics that provide lifelong learning experiences to student athletes while enhancing their achievement of educational goals. The Athletics department's goal is to teach the values of teamwork, pride, respect, commitment, good work ethic, sportsmanship, and the development of the proper winning attitude. It is his hope that through the District's athletic programs, student-athletes will adopt these guidelines and develop a positive, winning attitude that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
