    Kimisha Simpson has been with the Upper Darby School District since 2014. Within the school district, she served as a classroom teacher, lead teacher, and building principal of Walter M. Senkow Elementary School. Dr. Simpson earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Temple University, her Master’s degree in educational leadership, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph's University.

     

    Within her role as Supervisor of Recruitment, Retention, and Culture, Dr. Simpson is dedicated to supporting the development and growth of the personnel within the district.  She strives to ensure students are provided with highly qualified staff that will promote unity by providing opportunities for all learners in their pursuit of excellence.

     

    Dr. Simpson also serves as the District's Title IX Coordinator, and ensures the district maintains compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in federally funded education programs and activities. In this position she develops and implements policies, procedures, and prevention initiatives to maintain a safe and supportive environment for students, staff, and the school community.
